freyr & freyja

I brought my kitten home last week and had a good time playing with it. Everything about the kitten is fine, except the shit and my sleeping part.

Everyone thought that this kitten is a female (which is what I wanted), and I named her "Freyja" after the Norse goddess associated with love, beauty, fertility, gold, seiðr, war, and death (in short, bao ga liao). Then today, the breeder told me that they made a mistake in the sex of the eldest kitten from the same litter (at first they thought it was a she, but realise 'her' fur was so long that it covered the balls), and told me to check my Freyja.

OMT, my Freyja is actually a male too! I saw that he got balls hidden under his long thick fur and also a tiny penis! 晴天霹雳!!! I've been treating him like a girl all this while! I've bought him a pink carrier, gave him a girl's name, praising him as "good girl", telling him not to sit with his legs open 'cos it is not feminine. T_T How to accept you tell me!

But somehow, come to think of it again, "Freyja"is manja like a male cat. He keeps bua-ing me non-stop when I enter the room. And when I sleep, he will jump onto my bed and bua my hands. VERY affectionate.

So, I decided to change his name to "Freyr". I still love him lah~ (:

On the side note, I got my Naked2 palette already!!! All thanks to my beloved TFF~

1 more week!

I'm gonna collect my kitten next weekend! YAY!

Have been preparing much of the stuff needed. Litter tray, litter, food, food & water dish, scratching post, bed, toiletries and toys! And I've also meshed up the windows in my room. I think I've spent at least $300 in preparation.

I'm so excited!!!

lush: tips

I'm gonna share 2 tips for Lush products today.

Last month, I've gotten myself a tub of Love Lettuce Mask. The lifespan of the product is only a month, as they uses fresh ingredients without any preservatives. I could not finish the mask by the expiry date. So, I thought of using it as a foot scrub, not wanting to waste the awesome product. And it worked perfectly! My feet feels super smooth and soft after using it. As the mask contains essential oils, I do not have to apply moisturising cream after that. I also noticed that the scars I got from wearing new shoes were slightly lightened. Additional tip: Best use after a bath/ shower.

Recently, my hair became a bit oilier than usual, could be due that my menses are coming. Using a conditioner after shampoo was too nourishing and my hair feels sticky after half a day. Previously I had tried applying Lucy Minerals Ambrosio Multi-tasking Serum/ Sweet Dream Serum (will do a review next time) after shampoo in place of a conditioner. However, this time I felt that it was too rich for my hair condition. I tried spraying Lush Eau Roma Water Toner on my hair before blow drying and went to sleep. I woke up with smooth and clean-feeling hair the next morning! And my hair smells very nice. Damn awesome right! I will definitely repurchase it.

a shopping day!

Went town today to accompany my best friend to shop for her CNY clothes, but end up I'm buying more than her! I've bought cute ear studs from i love macaroons, a black structured blazer from Hurs, denim shorts from Pull & Bear and some stuff from Lush! Wanted to get a pair of Dr. Martens but I could not find the colour & size that I want. Pictures below!

happy new year!

Hello everyone!
I've been procrastinating much.
No new year resolution as usual.
Coloured my hair to a darker shade of violet last week, but the colour kinda faded and my gold highlights are showing up.
Have been assigned new job (yes, again.)
Registered for my CPA course.
Cleared up my room to prepare the arrival of my new kitty. Excited much.
Bought a new wallet and some bags.
That's all for now.

skinfood bb creams

It's Christmas afternoon and I'm writing this post at my friend's place, tethering on my Samsung Galaxy Note, because she doesn't know her wireless password -.-

I believe many people would have already known what BB creams are. They started out in Korea a few years  ago and have been popular since then. BB creams were one of my first few make up products.

skinfood aloe sun bb cream
This is the first bb cream I had bought, and one of my favourites. Skinfood has one of the most popular bb cream in the market at that time. It started with 3 bb creams: aloe vera, gingko & mushroom. I read some reviews online before puchasing the aloe vera one as it has better oil control than the other two. I love the smell of this bb cream. The coverage is medium light, and buildable; it does not look cakey. It comes in 2 shades; 01 having a pink underbase, and 02 having a yellow underbase. I usually mix the two together to neutralise. It also has SPF 20 PA+

skinfood peach sake pore bb cream
I had asked my friend to get this for me from korea before it is released in Singapore. The only thing I like about this bb cream is the scent. The coverage and oil control were not something that I liked. It doesn't keep my face matte for even a few hours. Like all Skinfood bb cream, it comes in 2 shades. Also, it is more expensive than the normal range bb cream. Not something that I will repurchase.

skinfood agave catcus sun bb cream
I rank this bb cream in one of my top favourites. Even though the oil control is not as fantastic as the aloe sun bb cream, it can keep my face matte longer than the peach sake pore bb cream. The coverage is higher and it also has a higher sunblock coverage at SPF 36 PA+++. The scent is quite pleasant. Overall, I am rather pleased with this product.

On a side note, I have "abandoned" my bb creams because currently I am more into liquid foundations now.
